Ty Orr President

Ty’s driving forces are his unquenchable passion to know God and understand His Word, and his compassionate love for God’s people. Coming to Christ in the late ‘80’s, he began serving at his church – a small Calvary Chapel – whenever and wherever possible. Eventually, Ty started serving full-time, becoming the youth pastor of the church, then the assistant pastor, and finally an interim senior pastor of that fellowship. The Lord, then led Ty to Salmon, Idaho where he has been pastoring until his call here to Idaho Falls. We are excited to welcome Ty, Laurie, his wife of over 20 years, and their three boys Joshua, Caleb and Benjamin to Watersprings Church!

A few years later, after a friend praised his self-centered behavior, Alipio went home and rededicated his life to the Lord. He enrolled in Bible college, and launched into the mission field. It was during this season that God opened the door for Alipio to come serve on the pastoral team at Watersprings Church in Idaho Falls.

I am obsessed. I remember the night in my home town of Henderson NV when I looked up at the moon with tear-stained cheeks and asked the Lord to baptize me with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Lord answered me and gave me the call to love His people, be with His people, and teach His Word. This call has become my obsession.

The Lord pried doors open for me to attend Calvary Chapel Bible College in Muretta, CA and by His grace for my last semester the Lord Jesus took me across the world to study in Jerusalem and graduate with a degree in theology. Upon returing home in December of 2010, I married the love of my life and entered into full time ministry at Calvary Chapel Green Valley and had the opportunity to teach several classes for an extension campus of Clavary Chapel Bible College in Las Vegas, NV. In February of 2017, my wife Amanda, my three daughters, and I followed the calling of God and moved to Idaho Falls to come alongside the ministry at Watersprings Church. I am currently persuing a bachelor's degree from Calvary Chapel University in Biblical Knowedge. I enjoy spending time with my family, and I am excited to adventure on into the future with the Lord.

I was one of those few who was fortunate enough to be raised in a loving Christian home by both parents who had strong work, serving and moral values. There is not a time that I don’t remember God being in the center our home. Once I was in college the world pulled and tugged on me because I never made my relationship with God personal. In my early twenties I rededicated my life to the Lord, made my relationship with God my own (not the walk of my parents), got married, and had four wonderful children. I have a Masters in Science but choose to put it aside to raise and homeschool our children, wanting to make sure they make their relationship with Christ their own and that they are spiritually ready for the “world”. Sometimes the hardest testimonies or race we run for Christ is the one where He has always been a part of our life and we’ve wanted Him to be there but how hard the world tries to take you from Him. Isaiah 43:1b says “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!” My greatest joys come from serving the Lord and seeing where He will lead me. I currently am serving in the Watersprings Church and as the Administrator of the Discipleship School.

Brian Arave Teacher

Today is a new beginning, so acknowledge the fact that you belong to Jesus Christ. Having been born into a family who have been part of the Mormon church from the days of Joseph Smith it took some time for Brian to come to a place of broken humility and acknowledge Jesus as Lord of his life. Since then each day he thanks The Lord for the fact that He lives within him. Brian and his wife Crystal have been married 37 years have two sons, a daughter, and six grandchildren. Asking Jesus to be at home in his life has been a process facilitated by attending and graduating from the Watersprings Discipleship School and being fellowship at Watersprings Church. Brian serves at Watersprings High School and the Discipleship school.

Ben Lampe Teacher

I grew up in a Christian home, but a lack of biblical faith was apparent in my life. This was the case because as soon as I could get away from the parental authority I took a deep dive into what I saw as "true freedom". Oh, how I was sadly mistaken. My life was nothing but freedom, being in bondage to online video gaming, pornography, and drinking. As you can probably guess, this lifestyle only led to a downward spiral which hit rock bottom during my summer away from home after my sophmore year of college. I hungered for a relationship at rock bottom, someone to help me feel not alone, someone tangable, because i sure had plenty of virtual friends. God did not abandon me though, and something in me told me to pray. Pray for relationship.

When that summer ended and junior year of college began, that pray began to be answered. I was introduced to relationships which brought me to the Navigators collegiate ministry, where I was reintroduced to Christ as Lord and Savior and what it actually meant to be a Christian. I gave my life to Christ in that year of college; 2010. Its been just over seven years since then and I have had my rough patches as a new believer but the one thing that has rung true is His faithfulness through it all. When I stumble and fall, He is there patiently and lovingly guiding. I owe my life to him and as my relationship deepens with the Lord, I now know what true freedom really looks like. Not only that, but Christ himself is that true relationship that answers our deepest longings and affections. He is the true rock of our salvation!

Adam Rowbury Teacher

I am married to Desiree Rowbury, my devoted and Godly wife. We are a blended family with 4 children. We have lived in Idaho Falls for most of our lives and call this our earthly home. I have been born again since 2009. Prior to that I lived a life of addiction to drugs, alcohol, and the many other sinful things that come with that lifestyle. In 2006 I ended drug and alcohol use completely but continued to live according to the ways of this world. One day after God had been tugging on my heart, I prayed with a great friend and asked Jesus to be the Lord and leader of my life. Since that day He has consistently worked in my life and given me victory over many things. By the grace and gifting of God, I have been provided with much opportunity to serve and minister. I am abundantly grateful for the opportunity to serve in the capacity of teacher and discipler, both in the Watersprings Discipleship School and outside of it. My heart is for the salvation of souls and the building up of the Body of Christ.

Lee Kerns Teacher

I asked Jesus to be Lord of my life, around 2008. I've always believed in God and even prayed from time to time. However, it wasn't until I heard and believed the Gospel of Christ - His payment for my sins at the cross of calvary, His death and resurrection, and His desire for me to be with Him, that I accepted His gift of grace and forgiveness. Jesus told his followers, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." I believe this wholeheartedly, which is why I serve God's people, and share the "real" gospel message of God's love shown by Jesus. My wife, JaNeil led my to the Lord, by inviting to to Watersprings where Jesus message of grace and forgiveness is proclaimed week after week. Over the past decade, God's promises have been fulfilled to my family in countless ways, especially through our children's lives, who are all followers of Christ. I am very thankful for the discipleship school, which helps believers grow in their relationship with Jesus, and brings boldness to share God's love with our families, our community, and the world.

Ross Mangum Teacher

Ross was raised in Southern California, where he met his wife Amy in 1994. Upon graduation from Calvary Chapel School of Ministry, Ross took his very young missionary family to plant a church in Rio De Janeiro Brazil. During the year they spent pastoring the new Church in Rio, Ross developed a heart of discipleship for Gods people and a passion for teaching God’s Word. Upon returning to the States they spent nine years in Corvallis, Oregon serving and teaching with men’s ministry and home groups while raising their four children.

In 2012, Ross and his family returned to full time ministry, this time in Rural SW Brazil, serving and teaching at Calvary Chapel Conference Center and Discipleship School. Much of the vision of Watersprings Discipleship School began in the jungle of Brazil serving the Brazilian people and watching the Kingdom of God strengthen and multiply. Shortly after their return to the States in Spring of 2015, he began serving at Watersprings Church, and his family is blessed to call Idaho Falls their home. Today with two kids away at college and two more at Watersprings High School, Ross has a full time real estate business and is super blessed to be involved with WDS teaching and serving God’s people in Southeast Idaho.

Gordon Boyle Teacher

Gordon comes from a proud family of Idahoans. He spent his summers working on the family ranch as a teen, and continued ranching for six years once out of school. When the Teton Dam broke, Gordon—who'd been a search-and-rescue volunteer began. Pastor Gordon & Roxanne Boyle were working for the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office, when his wife Roxanne returned to her Christian roots after the birth of their two children. She began praying for Gordon's salvation. After over a decade of prayer, Gordon finally surrendered his life to the Lord, but didn't tell Roxanne for over six months. Once he confessed, and committed to living the Christian life, things changed forever. In 2000, Gordon retired the police badge and came on staff where he does counseling, weddings, funerals, and helps with anything else he can!

Eric Schweinsberg Teacher

Eric hardened his heart at an early age, having grown up in an unstable “party” environment. He poured his energy into sports, culminating in a full-ride football scholarship. But he led a double life of partying, drinking, drugs and promiscuity. During college he met his wife Julie, and they married upon graduation. Yet pride and selfishness dominated his life. He continued partying and told Julie he wanted a divorce. Her response infuriated him: “I’m not giving up. The devil has a hold of you. We need to find a good church.” He knew she was right. In 1982, a coworker asked Eric, “Are you born-again?” And over the next year, he pondered the gospel, finally surrendering to Jesus. The Lord restored Eric and Julie’s marriage and gave them seven children. He also gave Eric a passion for home ministry, and for 30-plus years he has led or been part of a small group.
